When Lily was first diagnosed with leukemia,
her principal, Mr. Jordan, visited her at the hospital and told her that on his birthday he would come to the neighborhood
pool and slide down the water slide with her to celebrate the end of the most intensive part of her treatment. Sunday,
July 26, 2009 was the day that Mr. Jordan kept his promise. Here are some photos from that day.

Getting her head shaved - March 26, 2009
Lily decided that she wanted to go
ahead and get her head shaved. She knew that the rest would fall out anyway during the next stage of treatment. She
told the stylist, "I need to get my head shaved because I have leukemia." Afterwards she said, "Thank
you."
After Lily's head was shaved,
it was her daddy's turn. Lily helped wash his scalp afterwards.
Beautiful inside and out
Chic and gorgeous!
Lily was in the hospital because of low
blood counts in this photo from February 9, 2009. Despite the low blood counts, she felt good. At one point she
was turning pirouettes around the room.

Here I am with Sophie on January 31,
2009. We were talking on the banana-phones!
Sophie and me on Tuesday, January 13,
2009 - Just finishing up six weeks of treatment.

At home on January 4, 2009. Look
at my cool new hat! Only 5-10% of kids lose their hair during this "induction" phase of treatment, and I'm
one of them. There's just a little left at this point.
Miley Cyrus came to Vandy Children's Hospital on
December 23,2008. She gave Sophie and me autographed pictures.

My little sister, Sophie, read one of
her kindergarten books to me while I was in the hospital.

Playing games on my DS helped me pass
the time while I was in the hospital. Early December 2008.
This photo was taken at Gimmie's
house in Georgia on Thanksgiving Day, 2008 - four days before diagnosis. In addition to the back pain, I was
now pale and had circles under my eyes. I still felt well enough to turn cartwheels in the yard with my cousins that
afternoon.

Here I am at gymnastics - 12 days before
I was diagnosed with ALL. Two days before this picture I'd been to the pediatrician who said my back pain was
probably because of straining a muscle in gymnastics.
This photo was taken in July 2008 while
I was at the beach in Florida with my family.
